What I believe makes a good Tutor:
Establishing a relationship and rapport with the student and parents. Clear communication with the student and parents. Being able to clearly explain concepts to students. Being able to support the student in a variety of ways including providing practice materials and being able to draft work.
What are your top study tips for Students?
- Avoid procrastination by setting in place strategies! (i.e. giving your phone to someone else to look after for 2 hours while you complete an assignment).
- Study with other people and explain concepts to each other, this helps to develop your own understanding.
What are your top study tips for Parents?
- Be supportive of your child.
- Be involved in their learning.
